When you ask Afolabi, the owner of Delightsome Ventures Window Cleaning, what drives his work, it’s all about taking pride in his community.
“When you look out of your window, you should be able to see far and near. It makes you feel good.
It’s good to keep our environment clean — whether it’s the windows, the lawn, or the gutters.”
After living and working in Drumheller for 7 years, Afolabi decided to start his own business, bringing his expertise and eye for detail to homes and businesses across Drumheller.
Afolabi offers both residential and commercial window cleaning, along with one-storey gutter cleaning. “As long as it involves window cleaning,” he says, “we’re in for it.” Since launching in late 2023, Delightsome Ventures has served residents around Drumheller and in nearby communities like Hanna, Morrin, Delia, Rosedale and more.
His proudest moments come from pushing himself and seeing what he’s capable of. “I was afraid of heights,” he admits. “But one day, a client helped me up on their lift, and that gave me the confidence. Now I can climb and clean windows above roof level when I have the right equipment. That day, I was so excited — it boosted me.”
Afolabi’s business is built on, “we try to build trust through effective cleaning, consistency, politeness, and making sure we give our best,” he says.
And while his business continues to grow, his focus remains steady: keeping Drumheller clean. “That’s what motivates me — making people happy through cleaning,” Afolabi says. “When offices and homes are bright and clean, everybody feels good.”
